Naka Akira has his own style of shibari, Naka Ryû, which is based on aesthetics and semenawa.

Application as a workshop observer
As an observer, you have entrance to the workshop but you cannot participate in tying exercises during the workshop.
Fee: 390 euros per person (includes two day workshop and ‘Shibari Ropeplay x Naka Akira party’ on Friday evening 20.9.2024)
Application: The observer slots are filled in order of registration. The observer slots are limited in order to guarantee good experience for the participants. In order to register, fill this form carefully. Any incomplete registrations will not be considered. Note that the registration is binding.
Selection result: We start going through the registrations during the first week. Information about the selection result and placement in queue will be sent via email latest during Sunday 11.2.2024.
Observer fee: Note that when receiving a positive selection result, you will also receive payment information for the full observer fee. The deadline for the fee is Monday 26.2.2024. If we have not received your payment or a receipts by this date, your slot will be released to the next person in queue. If the participation is cancelled from the attendees part, paid fees will not be refunded.

Application as a workshop participant

Application: The workshop slots are filled in order of application assuming that the competence requirements are met. The workshop slots are limited in order to guarantee good experience for the participants. Please read the competence requirements before registering. In order to register, fill the form carefully. The form is published on Saturday 30.12.2024 at 3 pm UTC+2 (Helsinki) time. Any incomplete registrations will not be considered. Note that the registration is binding.

Reservation fee: Note that when receiving a positive selection result, you will also receive payment information for a reservation fee of 50 % to secure your slot. The deadline for the reservation fee is Monday 15.1.2024. If we have not received your payment or a receipts by this date, your slot will be released to the next applicant in the queue. If the participation is cancelled from the applicants part, the reservation fee will not be refunded.

- You have a solid foundation in the techniques and concepts in shibari
- You are proficient in tying a solid and sustainable Naka style gote
- You are proficient in suspensions, line management and position handling
- You are open to exploring discomfort, suffering and vulnerabilities (both physically and mentally) in rope
- You have a good understanding of rope safety, including nerve compression and blood circulation loss
Models
- You have a solid foundation in the techniques and concepts in shibari
- You feel confident being tied and suspended in a Naka style gote
- You are experienced and confident being tied in various suspensions
- You are open to exploring discomfort, suffering and vulnerabilities (both physically and mentally) in rope
- You have a good understanding of rope safety, including nerve compression and blood circulation loss
