This workshop reorients the practice of semenawa around the bottom’s experience blending somatic bodywork with hands-on rope exercises to cultivate resilience, emotional awareness and collaborative growth. Designed for both bottoms and riggers, the curriculum emphasizes how bottoms can actively shape their journey into “semenawa states of mind” while fostering mutual understanding in kinbaku’s relational dance.
Key Elements
– Prioritize the model’s agency: Enduring challenges, distinguishing between productive struggle and harmful strain.
– Trust as Co-Creation: Build a “shit happens” attitude where mistakes are opportunities for growth. We are honing empathetic responsiveness on both sides.
– Everyday Resilience: Techniques like somatic grounding and boundary-setting are framed as tools for navigating life’s challenges beyond rope.
